I'll be taking the Big Test near Thurso, Scotland - the northern most town on the UK mainland. Reports are that it's cold and wet. The surfers among you will be jealous of the surf - it's famous for a fast break onto a shallow reef. There are also fast tidal races and lots of wind. We'll go to the Orkney Islands afterwards for a few days of R&R, paddling, and sight seeing before ending up in Anglessey Wales for Nigel Dennis' annual Sea Symposium.
